The Eickhorn Fire Steel
Wherever and under whatever conditions - with the Eickhorn fire steel you always have the possibility to light a warming fire with a little bit of dry scale material (if necessary a piece of the T-shirt, jacket lining etc.). Ideal for camping, hiking or in a real emergency in the wild. With the fire starter you are on the safe side. The flint is small, easy to carry and takes up hardly any space in the backpack. It is safe and easy to use. The fire steel is sufficient for approx. 3000 ignitions, so you still have enough reserves if it should not work at the first attempt. The length of the fire steel is approx. 10.5 cm and weighs approx. 25 grams.
Important: Before the first use there is a black layer on the magnesium part. It is necessary to rub the magnesium part a few times with the green steel tool to remove the layer - now the fire steel is ready for use.
