Eickhorn Professional Series:

Professional Steel - Military Grade

Hardness: 52-56 HRC

Norm: DIN EN 1.4110

Proven Steel in Military Quality. Used in, among others, the KM2000BW of the German Army.

Steel following EN 1.4110 typically also meet EN 1.4116.

Comparable international norm: 420HC.

Professional Plus - Civilian Grade

Hardness: 56-58 HRC

Norm: DIN EN 1.4125

A popular Steel for the Civilian Market. Used in, among others, Knives of the SEK-Series.

Comparable international Norm: 440C.

Professional Enhanced - High End

Hardness: 56-58 HRC

Norm: DIN EN 1.2379

A High-end Steel for the Civilian Market. Used in, for example, the GEK and the GEK-EDC.

Comparable international Norm: D2.

Professional Bayonet Steel - Military Bayonet Grade

Hardness: 52-56 HRC

Norm: DIN 55Si7 EN 56Si7

The Standard for Military Bayonets, such as the SG2000WC-F, B2005, KCB 77 or US M7. This is a spring steel, which is also commonly used in Swordmaking applications.

Comparable international Norm: AISI 9255.

Special Steels:

Niolox

Hardness: 60-62 HRC

A hotly anticipated Special Steel, exclusively available in the EBS-United I (Eickhorn) of the Eickhorn - Bastards Knives - Schanz collaboration.

Niolox+

Hardness: 60-62 HRC

A new to us, hotly anticipated Special Steel. Exclusively available in the Eickhorn - Bastards Knives - Schanz collaboration, specifically in the models EBS-United II (Bastards Knives) and EBS-United III (Schanz).

Damasteel

From the famous Swedish company Damasteel, this steel was used in our legacy Damascus products. It is currently only available in the Balance Damascus.

Balbach Damast

Hand-forged by Markus Balbach, this steel is available in our current Damascus models, such as the Finewave.

CPM MagnaCut

Hardness: 60-64 HRC

Designed by Dr. Larrin Thomas, this well-balanced but pricy steel has taken the market by storm. Current production using this steel uses US-Made Magnacut from before Crucible's insolvency and sale. Knives using this steel are currently in production.

RWL-34

Hardness: 60-64 HRC

Manufactured by Damasteel in Sweden, this Steel is a component of the popular titular Damasteel and commonly used by custom knife makers. Knives using this steel are currently in production.
